Quest Taekwondo 1 to 1 Competition - Sunday 12th April 2015

Round House Taekwondo Club based at Dimensions Leisure Centre recently travelled with 6 youngsters to fight at the Quest Taekwondo 1 to 1 in Sheffield. The 3 brothers Ali Al-Omari age 14, Faris Al-Omari age 11 & Ahmad Al-Omari age 10 in their first competition showed exceptional talent with all 3 winning gold. Athar Iqbal age 13, still only a green belt dominated a black belt fighter with numerous head shots to take gold. Hashim Adil age 15 showed great potential against a super talented kid from our friends over at Matrix Taekwondo Club. Noor Yaser age 10 was unlucky with her fight going to golden point. Hashim & Noor both won silver. Thanks to Toyota Pinkstones for providing the team with transport on the day. The achievements of the 6 young people have helped to raise their confidence and also inspire teammates at the club. Round House helps young people in disadvantaged communities realise their value and potential as members of society through Taekwondo & boxing combined with education and mentoring. Everybody matters here. The photos were taken, edited and uploaded by our young volunteer, Ayman Matloob, age 15.
