Manjit JohalTrustee
Hi, I’m Manjit and I’ve been involved with charity work for over 20 years since meeting other people like me. I was an ex-service user and a very interesting person while growing up in a life of crime and drugs. When I came out of Prison in 1999 I was working just to fund this lifestyle. I met Yaser in 2003 after I got clean through a 12 step recovery program, and he coached me to help be involved in helping other ex-offenders like me. I set up our first charity called ‘BAC-IN’ for those with substance misuse and criminal backgrounds.
Since then, I have been involved in many projects, some national, and now run a company that offers residential homes for children with emotional issues. Through charity work, I like to help Adults & children in the UK and overseas.
One thing I have learnt in my journey is that I’m always learning from others, including children.
