Round House

Round House is a martial arts, boxing and personal development outreach project working with disadvantaged young people. The project uses the Olympic sports Taekwondo and boxing as an engagement tool to work with so called hard-to-reach young people. Round House also combines mentoring, education and employment support with high level Taekwondo and boxing coaching to raise the aspirations of young people. Round House plays a key role in preventing youth violence, building social cohesion and improving health and well-being.

Round House TKD is an official Taekwondo club registered with British Taekwondo. British Taekwondo is responsible for all aspects of the Martial Art of Taekwondo including selecting Great Britain’s National Teams to compete at the European and World Championships, and of course the Olympic Games. So, parents can take a look at the Round House website to see how we help young people in disadvantaged communities realise their value and potential as members of society through this fantastic activity! Of course, those who attend our classes can be assured of Enhanced CRB clearance and Instructor Indemnity Insurance, but they can also feel safe in the knowledge that Engage Communities has ClubCover Liability Insurance (as the club is a member of nationwide organisation, Sported.)

80% of our young people feel that they have made new friends by attending our summer program.
